Our last concert of the year will be held indoors at the Sycamore Junior High School May 26 6PM

 

Students should plan to arrive at 5:15. They will start performing an additional piece of music (not listed in the program) at 5:45.

Students should wear their white tuxedo shirt with black bow tie and black pants or skirt. Everyone should bring their music stand. (Be sure it has your name on it)

If you ordered a Music CD, they have arrived and can be picked up at the concert. See Leslie Hammann behind the stage before the concert.

2008 Memorial Day Concert Directions

Beginning with Wagner’s rousing Prelude to Die Meistersinger, the Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra presents their annual Memorial Day Concert at the Blue Ash Towne Square (Rain Site: Sycamore Junior High, 5757 Cooper Road) on Monday, May 26, 2008 at 6 PM.  Violinist Kaori Matsui, Sycamore High School sophomore and first place winner of the 2007 BAMSO Young Artist Competition in the Strings Category will perform the third movement of Saint-Saens Concerto No. 3 for Violin and Orchestra in B minor. Selections from Tchaikovsky's beloved Symphony No. 5, plus a moving tribute, Memorial by Rene Clausen, dedicated to the victims of the tragic events of September 11, 2001 featuring the Cincinnati Choral Society, conducted by Dr. Douglas Belland. As is traditional, the Blue Ash Youth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dale Swisher, will perform several selections.

Sycamore Junior High School:

From I-71: Exit onto the Ronald Reagan Highway (Exit 14) and head east to Montgomery Road. Head north on Montgomery Road. Turn left onto Cooper Road at the first traffic light. Sycamore Junior High will be on the left just after you cross over I-71 at .

From I-275: Exit onto Montgomery Road (Exit 50) and head south into Montgomery. Turn right onto Cooper Road just past the village center. Sycamore Junior High will be on the left just after you cross over I-71 at 5757 Cooper Road.
